Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
Q: Summer Break is upon us! What would be the perfect vacation spot for you to catch up on your reading & relax?
A: I would love to have a beach house somewhere on the the East Coast, preferably Maine or North Carolina. I have not actually been to these place, mind you, however I love the idea of a weather-beaten little beach cottage and watching a summer storm come in over the ocean while safe in my little reading nook. Ahhh. Oh and there would also be coffee...and cookies. That is all.
TGIF is a weekly blog hop hosted by GReads. It helps bloggers gain exposure and it gives us all one more thing to talk about on Fridays!
Q: A Book Blogger is Born: What made you decide to start your very own book blog?
A: First of all, I had annoyed my friends and family to the point of insanity jabbering about books (at least I'm pretty sure I did, they're fairly nice people so no one really said anything) but I still needed an outlet. I had been reading several YA book blogs for awhile and I really like the community feeling and wanted to become part of it. That's pretty much it, not to mention all of the great books I've been introduced to through blogging the last couple of months.
I could survive for weeks on coffee and cookies! Old follower :D My Follow
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I think in some ways it's similiar here - I wanted to talk books, but unlike you, I never tried to talk to my family or friends.. not really, that is, because I never felt as if I really could. Mostly because my mom's a big non-fiction reader and I felt silly talking about PNR with her, though. XD

Hopping through. I've never been to Maine, but would love to go. It looks so beautiful.

OOh nice blogging story!! That sounds kinda funny! Mine wasn't as entertaining, it just started with a contest and I needed some place to post a review to help score points!
ReplyDeleteEast Coast sounds nice! I personally would stay away from the beach though since that's the area Jaws took place! Watched that movie wayyy too many times! Don't even want to be near the water almost! ;)
Here's my Friday Hops

That sounds really terrific.
ReplyDeleteNC is GORGEOUS! I love the beach there! But it's hot and humid and there are LOTS of bugs! I haven't been to Maine but I think the humidity is much less but it gets really cold in the winter and I'm guessing the summers aren't as hot. Good choices though!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
That sounds like heaven... although... I hate to say it, but wouldn't heaven have some sort of sin-free chocolatey goodness? Or maybe, an enchanted book vending machine that never runs out of the latest YA titles? Just a suggestion ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow, following you back!
Coffee and cookies sounds yummy..although I much prefer tea myself. Not sure why. Thanks for stopping by :)

ReplyDeleteI love the weather-beaten cottage, but it's the summer storn that sells me . . . give me a wide-brimmed hat, a big towel, and something to keep my book dry, and I'm there. :)
Great answer, tucked away in your own cottage watching the sea! Perfect :)
