Okay, let's be honest. Just the fact that Libba Bray wrote this mixed with its cover makes me want this book, but as it turns out, it's actually supposed to be pretty funny. A bunch of beauty queens stranded on an island? Yes!

This just looks like one of those books that is going to be a lot of fun. It is pitched as Twilight meets The Breakfast Club. That sounds just fine to me. Josie Griffin Is Not a Vampire comes out September 13th!

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the cover of Beauty Queens! If I shopped online more often, I'd have bought and read it by now. But the (brick and mortar) bookstores I pop into have never displayed it up front or with the cover out, and that's why I've managed to avoid reading it for so long. =P I hope you get to read it soon! =)

omg I know! I got some a few months ago that light up and flash different colors and drove my family nuts for like two days. I wouldn't take them off. Then they mysteriously were found in the washing machine...sabotage!
